Research/Academic Interests

I am interested in minority Health Disparities, Focusing on Native Americans and Alaskan Natives with Diabetes and Obesity;

Value of “health” in city planning; looking at the social and structural determinants of health.

Prior Education

I graduated with honors in Philosophy in my Bachelor of Arts program from Bombay University.  I also have a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems.

Employment History

I have worked in a major hospital as an IT network administrator for seven years. In addition I have worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor for 3 years at Kansas University Medical Center.

Interests

My sports interests vary from season to season, from bicycling in the summer to tennis in the winter. I also paint, play the piano, the ukulele, and bongo drums.
