Elwood Pipestem-Ott
Elwood Pipestem-Ott is an enrolled member of the Otoe-Missouria Nation. He is a graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University where he received a Bachelors Degree in American Indian Studies. Mr. Pipestem has worked at the Center of American Indian Community Health at Kansas University Medical Center for over a year. Mr. Pipestem spends considerable time traveling to Native American communities throughout the United States delivering motivational speeches encouraging education, promoting sobriety and encouraging youth to avoid the pitfalls of alcohol & drugs. Mr. Pipestem is an advocate of healthy lifestyles for Native youth and is active in promoting healthier eating habits via nutritional education and the promotion of physical fitness.
