Donations

We are the American Indian Health Research and Education Alliance! We are a non-profit organization located in eastern Kansas that works with American Indian communities in several states from Montana to Oklahoma. Our primary focus is on health disparities within Native communities and providing educational opportunities for American Indian students.

We run several initiatives to combat health issues in the communities we serve. Some of these include environmental screenings of individual's homes, health screening clinics, weight loss, smoking cessation programs. Our team members travel to the four reservations in Kansas and others, including the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota, to administer health screenings to populations in need.

We also provide scholarship and internship opportunities to Native students and students who are interested in working with the American Indian community. Throughout the internship, interns contribute to our various projects and even have the opportunity to publish in academic journals. We also provide them with extensive opportunities to be out in the community interacting with the people we serve. Over the course of the summer, interns travel to the four reservations in Kansas and Eagle Butte, South Dakota to participate in community service projects with American Indian youth.

Donations will help us continue the internship and scholarship program, possibly even allowing us to send a student to college, all expenses paid. All donations are tax-exempt, as we are a non-profit, 501(c) organization.
