Center for American Indian Community Health Summer Internship Program
We are looking for American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) students ranging from high school to post baccalaureate levels to get hands on experience working in a medical setting at the University of Kansas Medical Center located in Kansas City, KS.
We dedicate our efforts to improve the lives of AIAN throughout the country. Continual efforts to eradicate health disparities and achieve health equity for AIAN are highly essential; therefore, it is vital to foster the entry of AIAN into the health professions through an internship program designed to provide invaluable tools to AIAN.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2012 CAICH Summer Internship Program. High school applicants will work 20 hours per week and post secondary applicants will work 40 hours per week over the summer months. This is a paid internship and interns will gain valuable “hands on” experience on research projects related to health issues in the AIAN community.
