Mammography Needs Assessment

From 2006 to 2008, we conducted a needs assessment of mammography for Native women in the Kansas City and Northeast Kansas region.  We learned a great deal of information from Native people in the area about barriers to obtaining screening.  If you are interested in any of our conclusions from this needs assessment, our publications and some presentations with our findings are available on our website or upon request.  We are currently continuing to publish much of that data.  Results from this needs assessment are being used in two follow-up studies described below, our Mammography Satisfaction study and our Mammography Intervention.
