Tara Hammer

She is an enrolled member of Cherokee Nation, grew up in Lawrence, KS and received her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Environmental Science from Haskell Indian Nations University.  Currently, she is working towards her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health Sciences.  Working as a Komen Scholar she wants to base her capstone on a correlation between atrazine in drinking water and breast cancer in a native community.
